Caitlin Clark Speaks Out About ‘Liking’ Taylor Swift’s Presidential Endorsement

As all Americans should know by now, the US presidential election will take place in less than two months.

This was made clear during last night’s presidential debate between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump. While many aspects of that debate made headlines, perhaps the biggest post-debate message came when pop music sensation Taylor Swift came out in support of Harris with an Instagram post.

Swift said in part, “I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend.”

She added: “It is entirely up to you to do your research and the choice is yours.”

Among the nearly 10 million people who liked Swift’s post was Indiana Fever newcomer Caitlin Clark.

Clark’s Fever team plays the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday. And during her pre-game press conference, Clark was asked if she liked Swift’s post.

“I have this great platform, so I think the most important thing is to encourage people to register to vote,” Clark responded to the question, according to Matthew Byrne. “I think this is my second time voting in an election, so… I think that’s the most important thing I can do with the platform that I have. That’s the same thing Taylor did. And I think you have to continue to educate yourself about the candidates that we have, the policies that they support.

“I think that’s the best thing you can do and that’s what I would recommend to anyone who gets that opportunity. [to vote] in our country,” Clark concluded.

While Clark did not reveal her party preferences, she did send a clear message that anyone who has the right to vote in the upcoming election should definitely do so.
